When is the best time to take pictures?

Ideally, an early morning or late afternoon session. The sun is softer and creates that warm glowy look we love for photos. Depending on the time of year, weather, and location times can vary greatly.

What happens if it rains?

I am constantly checking the weather report to see if there is a chance of rain! I will contact you as soon as possible if we need to reschedule due to weather. If it’s just cloudy, that can be great lighting for photos!

Do you chose the photos I receive?

Not anymore! I used to do this, but starting in 2018 you will receive a link to an online gallery of all photos taken during your session. You get to pick which ones are sent to final editing!

How long does it take to get my photos back?

Your online gallery of all photos taken during the photoshoot will be delivered within 3-5 days after your photoshoot for previewing. Your final edited photos depends on the time of year and my workload. Typically it will take 3 weeks to receive your final edited photos. During the busy fall season it can take 3-4 weeks, so keep this in mind when scheduling.

How do I get my photos? 

I will email you a link to your final edited photos that will take you to an online gallery where full resolution download is available. It will have an expiration date, so make sure to save all photos to your computer.

Do you offer prints or photobooks?

Not at this time. I find most of my clients really enjoy printing on their own, and that is why they come to me! Having a print release means you can print and share again and again! This is such a huge value! I can always make recommendations on where to print and where NOT to print your photos.

How do we book you?

Hit the contact button and let me know what kind of shoot you are interested in. I will get back to you as soon as possible and answer any questions you might have. Once we figure out a date, I collect a deposit and you are set!

What kind of payments do you accept?

I accept check, cash and Paypal.

When do I pay you?

A $100 deposit is due at time of booking, and the remainder is due at the photoshoot. If you choose to purchase additional digital photos (then originally purchased) you will be billed before I start the editing process.

Do you travel?

Yes! I love to travel for photoshoots and weddings. Anything outside of the Shasta County area will be subject to a standard mileage fee. I do charge mileage and extra lodging fees for weddings.

How do I pick a wedding package?

I would love to meet with you and talk about your wedding! Depending on the wedding venue, wedding party size, and traditional festivities  I can help you choose the hourly package that best fits your needs.

What is your wedding photography style?

Most of the wedding day will be consisted of a photo-journalistic approach. I love to capture the day with little interference. When shooting the formal photos of the bride and groom and wedding party I like a to give you a variety of poses. I help create natural interactions, along with posed shots in a beautiful backdrop.

How do we book you for weddings?

I prefer to meet so we can talk about your wedding day! But sometimes this is not possible with destination weddings, etc. So I will send a wedding agreement, and just require a 10% deposit to reserve your wedding date.
